Yes is the answer! Our tattoos are water based and completely safe for both kids and adults to use anywhere on their body, even the face.
No matter the size, colour or design of your image, you’re safe to use our tattoos however you need.
There are a few simple precautions that can make the experience even safer and easier:
- Apply your temporary tattoos only to clean, healthy skin – ideally shaving or trimming any hair also (less hair also makes the tattoo easier to remove after).
- Carefully follow our application and removal instructions – these are included with every order.
- Avoid cuts, rashes, sunburn or irritated areas of skin.
- Don’t apply tattoos near the eyes, lips or other sensitive areas, think skin only.
- Add moisturiser after applying to help ensure the tattoo smooths into your skin better and is less rigid, which also means less chance of the tattoo creasing and flaking.
- Supervise younger children so they don’t accidentally ingest pieces of the temporary tattoos or its packaging.
- If you’re particularly sensitive to cosmetics or have reacted to temporary tattoos before, we do include a small star tattoo you can use to trial in an inconspicuous area first.
If for any reason you do have any form of irritation or discomfort, simply remove your tattoo by gently rubbing off with warm water and soap. Use a small amount of baby oil or similar oil based product to help remove any stickiness.
BONUS TIP: Temporary tattoos work as a great sun block when on skin – so more of a cosmetic tip – avoid prolonged sun exposure to ensure you don’t end up with a tan free patch where your tattoo used to be. Alternatively, make sure to use a strong sun cream when wearing one.
