We can literally make a tattoo at any specific size you need, and anything over A4 size will simply be broken up into parts to be joined together when applying.
However, we do occasionally get people ordering the wrong size and then needing to reorder again, so to avoid this we always recommend using a proper tape measure and mirror and measuring up the area of your body you are looking to place the tattoo.
If it’s on an area of the body that’s tricky to see, like the neck or back then get someone to help. You can even measure a friends body to see how it might look, or better yet cut out a piece of paper to roughly the shape / size you want and place on the skin to see if it will be right.
If you want to trial different sizes you can do this by ordering the middle average size and mention in the order notes how many of what sizes you’d like, or simply add as separate items to your basket.
Image Proportions
It’s also worth talking about image proportions; we only ever ask for (and need) the longest side of the image as the other side will be relative to it’s shape, changing the proportions would mean stretching the image itself. We can do this to a point but stretching an image out of shape will only start to look odd. This means, you need to also bear in mind the shape of the image you are using and how that will affect the position on your skin.
For instance, if you have a wide shaped image, that you want to be more square. So say for example, your image is a 10cm (wide) x 5cm (tall) shape, but you want it to be a 10cm x 10cm shape, then either it won’t work to those sizes or the image would have to be completely stretched out of shape and will therefore look odd. In these cases either a new image is needed or additional elements need to be incorporated in to make the image taller. If this is the case, please select “image not print ready” and mention in the notes the requirements you need, alternatively get in touch with us to see how we might help, we always reply within 24 hours.
